That said, measuring 6,352 yards from the blue tees, the length is certainly sufficient once you factor in the tree lined fairways and postage stamp sized greens. Even if you are able to keep the ball in play off the tee, the course set up is such that a marginal miss to these raised greens can lead to a bogey or worse. The greens will hold shots but at the same time are extremely quick to the point that a few three putts will probably be unavoidable.
The course was in near-perfect shape and was freshly mowed for a fall morning round. One player in our group commented that "The condition of the course is top notch and that the greens are some of the best that he has played on in years". Golf carts are available and are strongly recommended as many of the holes are not next to each other. One thing that could be improved is the condition of the tee boxes, but that really did not have any impact on the scores or overall golfing experience. The course is fair and playable, but challenges players of all skill levels by forcing you to hit the ball straight and hopefully possess a good short game.
The most difficult hole if you are playing the blue tees is the 425 yard Hole #6 that has you teeing off through a narrow tree lined opening. Even if you hit a nice tee shot on this dogleg left, you will be faced with a lengthy second shot that demands a straight long iron or fairway wood. Hole #18 is the Back 9 Signature Hole that measures 269 yards and has you finishing alongside the club house. The big hitters can swing for the fences to try for the green off the tee, but most players should just put a 3 wood in the fairway to stay out of trouble. If judged correctly, the shorter second shot will give most players a chance for a birdie or par to finish the round.
The service was good. The amenities plenty. Bottom line: You won't be disappointed if you come here.
