This is not a very hacker-friendly course. If you know the layout and play some good course management, you might be able to get in the low 90s, but it's unlikely.
Most fairways are set in a semivalley with raised borders framing the hole. Those borders are filled with high, dense, native prairie grasses, which makes finding your ball nearly impossible and playing from there downright wicked. In general, throughout the regular playing season, this course is in top condition with tee boxes, fairways and greens in great shape. It better be for the price they are asking. However, this review was done near the end of October and although they had a reduced rate, the conditions were quite poor.
Tee boxes were in need of repair due to divots and a couple were not even flat and level. Fairways were a mixed bag with some being fine and in good condition and others punched and sanded. Greens were okay except there seemed to be an inconsistency in speed and amount of break from one green to another. Carts were nice, newer electric models with GPS.
At the turn, there is grill service and a patio area where we were greeted by a very nice and polite server willing to help except he had almost no items available from the menu at 12:30 p.m. The 19th hole is a nice restaurant with good reasonably-priced food, but remember this facility is dry and does not serve alcohol.
Final thought. This is a challenging picturesque course that you play once, maybe twice a year. Just think that you are on vacation at a resort course and are there to enjoy yourself and not worry about what will be your final score.
