The Jewel, located in Lake City, Minnesota, is a matrimonial symbol of the bond between the bluffs and the Mississippi, between links-style golf and all-terrain play. Originally intended as a private golf club community, with no expense spared, the course is now open to the public and available for anyone who wants the sternest test in southeast Minnesota.
If you’ve ever played an immaculate private course by invitation and wished you could play it whenever you wanted without having to “know someone” or pay for an annual membership, this is the course for you. The service should be the best and it is. If this course were in the Brainerd area, the green fee would be double.
Golfers are permitted to play the course without cart, but for those who aren’t also marathon runners, it’s not the brightest idea. And the championship tees should be considered for show by anyone with a 10+ handicap
