Montgomery Golf Club was the very first golf course designed by Minnesota golf architect Joel Goldstrand. It opened in 1970 as a nine-hole course and was redesigned in 1993 by Goldstrand, who added a second nine and a driving range. For those who have golfed Metro courses only, this is one to add to your outings. Located in the city of Montgomery, Minnesota, and less than an hour’s drive from the Metro area.
We started out our morning on the putting green and moved to a pitch, chip and putt area nearby. That, combined with a driving range, an all-grass tee and a practice bunker, gives ample practice and warm-up opportunities. As you approach the 1st tee, you realize that while the fairway landing areas appear generous, mature trees line the fairway, and accuracy is rewarded. The course includes water hazards and elevation changes
