The clubhouse is a conveniently located log structure that has drinks and a few snack items available. But keep in mind that there are no other food services available. There is also not a pro shop with equipment or accessories for sale, and there are no practice facilities of any kind here.Without any practice swings you start out on the course with a fairly tight par 5. It is not very long, but the narrowness makes it a harder 1st hole.
The 1st green seems to be the largest green on the whole course. Most of the greens are quite small, but the conditioning of the greens is very good. They do seem to be pretty easy to hit and stick on, despite their small size. The middle holes of the front nine are mostly wide open and forgiving. Due to the newer tee boxes on some holes, some of the yardages on the scorecard and signs don’t match up accurately. On the par 3s you have to do some calculating to get the yardage right. The back nine has several short par 4s that have doglegs and large pine trees to contend with.
The holes are still very playable and forgiving, but if you try to challenge the hole because it is short, it may cost you more strokes than you were trying to save.Overall this course is kept in very good condition and is fun to play. Knowing how the hole is laid out, especially on the doglegs, would be helpful. Join up with one of the friendly locals and use them as your guide. It is hard to beat the value of the green fees here. The friendly staff will work to make your outing a pleasant and affordable one.
