The north course begins with some very picturesque scenery. Hole one has a very tight fairway from a blind tee shot. At the second shot you can see the green, plus the next two holes. Early morning, with the sun rising, makes this is a beautiful view. Between these holes is a pond which comes into play on two and three. Both are quite tricky in their own ways. Two is a severe dog leg left around the pond, so you're hitting your second shot over the pond. Three has the pond down the left side, with bunkers surrounding the green. As far as "signature" holes go, the General Manager only named the third hole on the east course as a signature hole. That is a great hole, but we felt these two could also be considered.
Speaking of the east course and hole #3, it is a par 5 with a double dog leg. You should only hit a long iron, or high numbered wood off the tee. This will place you in between the two corners, and give you some idea of what to hit to the green. It's a fun hole and very well crafted. From tee box to green, it was hard to find much wrong with Evergreen. Each green has its own difficulty, and all were in near perfect shape. The fairways and rough were well manicured, and a pleasure to play off of. Parts of the courses run through neighboring homes, also easy on the eyes.
Everyone from check in to the cart girl were friendly and pleasant. The Manager mentioned they do mostly outings and are very good at it. We had a close up look when we finished, and watched one getting started. It was very organized. I would highly recommend Evergreen when you are in the Elkhorn area.
