The pro shop has a limited amount of merchandise, but it is fairly priced. Food service consists of only drinks and a few snack items. A teaching pro is available for groups and by appointment. The practice facilities are convenient and are kept in good condition. The driving range is well marked for distance but is a little narrow. The practice green is in great condition, and there is good area for chipping practice.The original nine is 2005 yards and plays to a par of 33. It is fun and yet challenging if you try to reach some of the shorter par 4s with your drive.
The back nine is a newer championship-style course. It is 3294 yards from the back tees and plays to a par of 36. We found a few holes where familiarity of the course would have been helpful. There are a few blind shots and doglegs to contend with, but there are only six bunkers on the entire course and water does not really come into play. The championship nine has some challenge from the back tees, but there are four separate tees on most holes.
The forward tees make it a family- and hacker-friendly course. Conditioning of the course is quite good. The fairways and greens are very well maintained, though the bunkers are a little ragged and have hard sand. Some sections of the cart paths have washout and erosion problems due to the terrain.Emily Greens boasts a commitment to family-friendly golf. That combined with its value and playability makes Emily Greens a great destination for families and hackers. The management is customer-friendly and works hard to make sure everyone’s day is a great one.
