There is plenty of parking nearby, and the driving range near the clubhouse is very close to the 1st tee. Gas carts are available and are in good condition, but this is a great course to walk. There are plenty of trees and beautiful views, especially if you look back toward the tee boxes from the greens. Nice landscaping runs throughout the course, and overall it is very well kept. A few of the holes could use some signs directing you to the next hole to make things a bit more clear, but it is not too bad.
Coming from the green on #9 to the clubhouse is a good walk, but it is well marked. There is not a beverage cart except for during tournaments. The course is friendly to the average golfer, as it is only 6176 yards from the white tees. There are a lot of trees throughout the course, which adds to its natural beauty, but it also adds some challenges if you are prone to slice the ball. The handful of bunkers are in good condition, and water hazards show up on four or five holes. The tee boxes are great as are the fairways, which get mowed twice a week. The biggest surprise for us was the greens. They are beautiful and fast, and putts seem to role true with mild undulations.
The red, white and blue flags on the greens are helpful with pin location. The course is fully irrigated and the greens are plugged and sanded, so even in a hard rain there is no standing water. Dodge Country Club is an excellent value, especially if you live near the area. They do not take tee times, which you think might be bad, but our experience at 7:30 on Saturday morning was great.
