The 27 holes are divided into 3 sets of 9, North, Middle, and South. All three sets have tight and tree-lines fairways. The Middle plays the longest and is the most wooded of the three. Hole 5 is slight dogleg right which is easily reachable in 2. Watch your approach as there are 3 front bunkers and the green is deceiving in depth. The South course plays about 110 yards shy of the Middle. The best hole on the Middle course is number 9; it has a beautiful pond and mature trees lining it. Watch your drive as a slice will put your ball on the road, do not retrieve it unless you want visitors at the local Police department! Make a safe, straight, first shot and there's potential for par. The North course is the shortest of the three however it provides a completely different layout. Once you cross the river you get four holes which are fairly open but are surrounded by natural grasses and 80+ year old trees on the borders to keep it interesting. Overall there are not many water hazards that come into play on this course; your lost ball count should be minimized.
The pace of play was very good. You didn't feel rushed nor were you waiting for the group in front of you. This was impressive given that they had the course championship going on and you did not notice it.
They only have one drink cart person which makes the visits far and few between. Ask the Pro Shop or restaurant about any drink specials before teeing off and you can usually get better deals/pricing. The restaurant and beverage cart are leased out limiting what the course can offer. Per the course manager they will be asking for more cart service on the weekends and outings.
If you're looking for a fun and decent pace of play course look no further than Delbrook. What they lack in doglegs and challenging holes they more than make up for in high quality service and a well maintained course.
