Playing 6,308 yards from the back tees, the course rewards positioning over length off the tee. The 16th hole is an interesting Par 4 worth particular attention the first time you play it. There is a slight dogleg to the right and little room for error, so leave the driver in the bag. A tee shot of 200 to 225 yards in the fairway is desirable because that should leave a mid-iron shot to an elevated green. Make sure you take enough club on your second shot to get over the water, but also keep in mind that anything past the pin will leave a difficult downhill pitch or putt. A par or bogey on this hole is a great score considering double bogey is likely the average score here.
Hole #3 is a signature hole measuring 174 yards, both slightly uphill and across a pond. Besides the distance, the challenge is in the slope of the green from front to back and left to right. As if merely hitting the green wasn't already challenging enough. The other signature hole is #12 on the back nine, which is a 136-yard Par 3 that may be your best chance for a birdie all day. Make sure you don't get too overconfident because the green is narrow and heavily bunkered. The holes on the back nine only get tougher as you go on, so make sure you take advantage of the shortest hole on the course. In our opinion, this course has many signature holes to choose from. Each golfer can decide which one they like the best. If this course were to share a name with a golf company... it would definitely be "Tailor-Made."
